Currently, in the Telugu film industry, there is a lot of discussion about hero Raj Tarun and his ex-girlfriend Lavanya’s episode. Lavanya made allegations against someone and Raj Tarun acted in the movie ‘Thiragabadara Saami’ with that actress (Malvi Malhotra). Lavanya accused Raj Tarun of leaving her because of his relationship with Malvi Malhotra. She also claimed in several media channels that Raj Tarun forced her to have an abortion and involved her in a drugs case.

This episode created a huge buzz on social media around the movie ‘Thiragabadara Saami,’ starring Raj Tarun and Malvi Malhotra. Amidst this controversy, the movie was released worldwide in theaters on August 2. How is this film? Did it meet the audience’s expectations? Did the chemistry between Raj Tarun and Malvi Malhotra work out? Let’s find out in this review.

What’s the Story?

Giri (Raj Tarun) is naive and timid, avoiding conflicts and not caring about what’s happening around him. He is afraid of even small things. On the other hand, Shailaja (Malvi Malhotra) is bold and daring. She teaches a lesson to those who tease her in her own style. The acquaintance between Giri and Shailaja, who have different(Thiragabadara Saami Review) personalities, turns into love. What troubles does Giri face while trying to control Shailaja? What problems do they encounter in their love? Why does Giri, who is usually a coward, have to rebel? Against whom does he rebel? Did Giri finally win his love or not? The rest of the story unfolds these questions.

How is the Movie?

The first half is filled with comedy and fun. The love track between the hero and heroine and the humorous scenes where Shailaja teases Giri entertain the audience. The chemistry between them works well in romantic scenes, making the first half engaging. The twist before the interval heightens the interest in the second half. The latter part of the movie shows the hero transforming from a coward to a brave person, with elevation scenes and action sequences. Raj Tarun is shown in different mass angles compared to his previous films. However, some scenes feel boring. Some fights exceed Raj Tarun’s cutout, making it difficult for the audience to connect with them. Sentimental scenes could have been more touching.

How Did Everyone Perform?

Raj Tarun is known for his fun and comedy genre. He lived the role of the innocent Giri. He impressed in both angles, initially as a naive guy and later as a lover fighting enemies for his love. Especially in action sequences, Raj Tarun gave his best. This film shows him in a completely different way compared to his previous films. It seems Raj Tarun took this approach to transition from a lover boy image to a mass hero.

Despite being her first Telugu film, Malvi Malhotra acted well in the role of Shailaja. She did justice to the role of a bold girl. The romance and chemistry between Raj Tarun and Malvi Malhotra worked well on screen. The second heroine, Mannara Chopra, also impressed with her glamour and acted within the scope of her role. Raghu Babu, John Vijay, Ankita Thakur, Pragathi, and Raja Ravindra entertained in their respective roles. (Thiragabadara Saami Review)

How is the Direction?

Director A. S. Ravi Kumar succeeded in executing the storyline without boring the audience. He managed to extract the required performances from the actors. He engaged the audience well with the love track between the hero and heroine in the first half. However, it felt like he could have done a bit more homework on emotional scenes. Overall, he succeeded in entertaining the audience. (Thiragabadara Saami Review)
